The Go Beyond Incubator

We don't find products.
We find people.

And then we fund the product into existence. That is why you cannot buy these trips anywhere else.

The boring part

Every DMC does the same three things.

We source. We package. We sell. We do that too, and we are good at it.

It is not what this page is about.

Dawn mist over Hoa Binh lake in northern Vietnam, forested hills closing around still water.

The turn

When travel restarted, we started doing something else.

We run a small incubator for travel entrepreneurs, across our eight destinations.

Who they are

Nobody famous.

No founders. No start-ups. No pitch decks.

The cousin of somebody on our team.

A neighbour.

A friend of a friend.

We send our product people out to find people with an idea, not to find products.

The scene

A forest road in Vietnam, on the way to a national park.

A coffee shop belonging to the cousin of somebody on our team. We stopped for a coffee.

The owner's son walked us down to the river behind the shop and said:

"If I had kayaks, I could put your guests in here."

He doesn't have kayaks. He has a river, and he knows it better than anyone.

The place and the family are not named here, on purpose.

What they are missing

Exactly three things.

01

They don't know how to build a business.

02

They don't have the money.

03

They have no way of reaching a customer.

We supply all three

We build the business plan with them. We lend the money. And we put the product in front of agents who already buy from us.

Low cloud closing over forested hills in Umphang, western Thailand.

The honesty

Most of them fail.

We know that going in. We treat the money as gone the day we send it. Nobody signs anything.

If it works, they pay us back slowly, a slice of each booking, out of the guests we send them. They never write us a cheque. If it doesn't work, we don't come after them.

It goes wrong three ways  ·  they disappear with the money  ·  we drift apart on what we are building  ·  it gets built and nobody wants to go

The man with the river is at the beginning of this right now.

In six months he is either another failure or he is the next Koh Kye. We will tell you which.

Sunset over the sea with tents pitched on a sand spit and a few small figures on the shore.

Why it matters

You can't buy these trips anywhere else.

They did not exist before we paid for them. We shaped every one from the start, which means we can still change them for you.
